Romances

Do you secretly want to read a spicy romance novel that will get tingling all over, but are offended by the stupidity of the plot or are embarrassed by the cover? Not to fear!

ROMANCES THAT WON'T INSULT YOUR INTELLIGENCE:

I really like Leslie Kelly, all her stories are well written and more than just porn on paper, but she writes for the "Blaze" books and their covers are a little steamy...so just don't read them in public. ;) I also really like Johanna Lindsey, and her covers are usually very discreet. I have to say, I'm fairly new to this "romance" genre, but I like what I've read so far and hope you will too. I hope I get to explore this new realm of books further!

Anyway, sorry so short, but enjoy!

THE EXCELLENT CHICK LIT

Although many are embarrassed to admit it, no one can resist the power of good chick lit. If written well, the romantic comedy and superficial drama will lighten your entire day. I've made a list of my favorite light readings, and you will notice that Meg Cabot appears several times. Pretty much anything she's written is the highest quality chick lit, so be sure to check her out:

FOR TEENS:

The Mediator Series: Meg Cabot

Avalon High: Meg Cabot

Twilight Saga: Stephenie Meyer

FOR ADULTS:

Queen of Babble: Meg Cabot (I didn't read the rest of the series, because I found out a plot twist that upset me, so BE WARNED)

Sookie Stackhouse Novels: Charlaine Harris (check out TRUE BLOOD, a slightly darker take on the novels, yet all the more delicious!)

The Time Travelers's Wife: Audrey Niffinger (Beware: this is sad.)

The Shopaholic Books: Sophie Kinsella

And then, of course, for those intellectuals, Jane Austen is the ultimate chick lit author.

Happy reading!
